catedral primada de toledo
The Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo, also known as Toledo Cathedral, is a magnificent example of High Gothic architecture. It stands as a testament to the religious and cultural history of Spain, having been consecrated in 587. The cathedral's design was inspired by the Bourges Cathedral and is noted for its impressive incorporation of light and structural achievements, particularly in the ambulatory vaults. It is built with white limestone from the quarries of Olihuelas, near Toledo, and is renowned for its Mozarabic Chapel, which still uses the Hispano-Mozarabic Rite and music. This cathedral is not only a place of worship but also a symbol of the historical and artistic heritage of Toledo.
