The Canglang Pavilion, also known as the Surging Wave Pavilion, is a renowned classical garden located in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. It holds the distinction of being the oldest garden among the Classical Gardens of Suzhou, which are collectively recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in 1044 CE by the Song dynasty poet Su Shunqin, the pavilion is celebrated for maintaining its original Song dynasty layout. The garden's design is a testament to the traditional Chinese philosophy of harmonizing with nature, featuring a lotus pond and 108 uniquely designed windows that frame the natural beauty of the surroundings.
