Cavernas do Peruaçu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Minas Gerais, Brazil, is renowned for its vast limestone caves, some spanning up to six kilometers, and prehistoric rock art dating back 12,000 years. Located at the intersection of the Cerrado, Caatinga, and Atlantic Forest biomes, the park hosts over 2,000 species of plants and animals, many of which are endangered. Notable features include the Gruta do Janelão, home to the world’s largest stalactite, the 28-meter Perna da Bailarina, and archaeological sites with evidence of ancient human occupation, including paintings and artifacts.
