jabal umm sinman

Jabal Umm Sinman, located near Jubbah in Saudi Arabia’s Hail Region, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exceptional collection of ancient rock art. The sandstone mountain features thousands of petroglyphs and inscriptions spanning nearly 10,000 years of human history, depicting humans, animals, and scenes from a time when the area overlooked a large freshwater lake in the Nafud Desert. These visually striking carvings, created with stone tools, offer outstanding testimony to early human creativity and adaptation to environmental changes in the Arabian Peninsula.
