parque arqueológico tazumal

Parque Arqueológico Tazumal is a major pre-Columbian Maya archaeological site in El Salvador, recognized on UNESCO's Tentative List as part of the Chalchuapa cultural landscape. It features an impressive stepped pyramid rising 24 meters, built in multiple construction phases mainly during the Classic period (roughly 100–900 AD), along with a ballcourt, platforms, and other structures reflecting sophisticated Mesoamerican architecture and continued occupation into the Postclassic era with notable Mexican influences.
