waterwheel park

Waterwheel Park, nestled in the heart of Lanzhou, Gansu Province, China, is a cultural oasis that pays homage to the ancient irrigation tools that once stood along the Yellow River. Established in 1994, the park showcases two magnificent waterwheels, a cofferdam, and a recreation area, spread across 1.45 hectares. Visitors can immerse themselves in history by observing these waterwheels in action, reminiscent of the ingenuity of Duan Xu, who invented this style in the Ming Dynasty. The park not only offers a glimpse into the past but also provides a serene spot for relaxation and enjoyment along the bustling Binhe Middle Road.
